Beneteau unveiled the world premiere of their much anticipated 50 foot Gran Turismo at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Flagstaff Marine represent Beneteau Power in NSW and QLD; and Directors Graham Raspass and Micah Lane were in Cannes for the launch. The Gran Turismo is already massively popular in Europe and the USA and Australian buyers are now following suit and embracing this exciting brand.

Gran Turismo power boats are quick to accelerate and easy to handle with an exhilarating top speed. The range is characterised by a large central cockpit and spacious well thought out entertaining areas. The high standard of finish is typical of the quality boat owners have come to expect from the world’s number one boat builder Beneteau.

Beneteau are known for making what was considered inaccessible accessible to the mass market via their world class production facilities. Innovations like Ship Control, which provides user-friendly, centralised access to all the boats controls, and Air Step 2® hull design which delivers fast, smooth and comfortable driving, take these boats to the next level.

An integral part of the GT range is Beneteau’s “Full space” concept which means that the main deck is completely open for seamless indoor/outdoor living with a cleverly concealed fully retractable glass door for comfortable days out on the water.

The Gran Turismo 50 has a choice of two or three cabins, with full beam owner suite and ensuite shower room. Buyers can also choose between the Hardtop option with extra protection and an elegant retractable sun roof or the Sportfly with second driving station for spectacular views from the elevated helm position. Other key features on both models include: a tender garage large enough for a Williams Minijet 270, a huge submersible swim platform for water sports activities and a forward sunbathing lounge.

Flagstaff Marine’s Graham Raspass commented:

“The Gran Turismo 50 is a stunning looking boat. The collaboration of Italian designers Nuvolari & Lenard with interior design by Andreani has created the kind of elegance with touches of sumptuous luxury that you would normally only find in a super yacht.

We are excited to have already sold one of the Hardtop versions and it will be in Australia in time for the owner to be out on Sydney Harbour for the New Year's Eve fireworks. We believe the Sportfly will also be popular with the Australian market and it’s great to have both options and layouts to offer buyers.”

The Gran Turismo 50 has also been nominated for European Powerboat of the Year 2018 (over 45 feet). Both models will be arriving in Sydney later this year.
