Les Nauticales in-water boat show to begin March 15

by Veronique Largeau on 25 Feb 2014
. .
Les Nauticales, the in-water boat show, will be held from Saturday 15 - Sunday 23 March 2014 in the Port de Plaisance in La Ciotat. More than 200 exhibitors are expected on 30,000 sq. metres of exhibition space. 200 boats will be on show in-water, out of the 400 on display in the show. Themed spaces will be available to all visitors, as well as many entertainments. Les Nauticales' aim: To become the Euro-Mediterranean in-water spring show and to show exclusively the new launches presented in the winter shows.

On display for the first time in-water, the new Flyer 6 range from Beneteau. Presented at Nautic in Paris, everyone's been talking about these three new launches, but this is the first time all three models of the Flyer 6, with the Spacedeck, the Sundeck and the Sportdeck, will be shown in-water at a show. These open boats, 6.22 m. long by 2.52 m wide, are directly inspired by the world of automobiles, and present a completely new concept and design. Beneteau took advantage of the services of a well-known firm of car designers, and it shows!

A new launch in semi-rigids, Nautic Pro Shop will show the Predator 600 for the first time, exclusively. This 6m. semi-rigid displays a manoeuvrability and comfort which should tempt lovers of day-trips, and professionals.

Brunswick Marine, who represents several brands, will show two new launches with the Black Fin Elegance 7 and the Valiant 550 Sport fishing. These comfortable, safe and functional semi-rigids are equipped with full fittings. Easy to transport and launch, semi-rigids always have the wind in their sails for pleasure-boaters, divers and fishing enthusiasts!

Brunswick will also present three new launches from Quicksilver: the Activ 855 Cruiser, the Sensor 555 and the Pilothouse 675. These boats, designed for day-trips and short cruises, will persuade all those in search of reliability, performance and style. Ideal for families and friends, they offer companionable spaces and useful storage areas.

Selection Boats will present many new launches, including three in the Aston series, ranging from 16 - 20 feet. Modern and functional, these boats, intended for outings, are customisable and offer different colours of upholstery. Another newcomer, the Cruiser 22 presented by Selection Boats, had hardly arrived in the range before people were talking about it! It will be shown in two versions: Standard and Excellence. The Excellence version, which is more luxurious, offers luxury upholstery, a sunbathing area, all teak construction, hydraulic steering ... models for all tastes, all budgets and easily transportable on a trailer.

French Preview - Blue Touch, based in Marseilles will present as a French preview at Les Nauticales 2014 the all new Elan 320. In the 400 tradition, this latest model will take its place on the market of sailing boats, under 10 m. From plans by Rob Humphreys Yacht Design and the Elan Design Team, this boat boasts exceptional build quality in sandwich laminate and vacuum infusion (certified Germanisher Lloyd). Robust, reliable and handling well, this new Elan 320 has a modern hull design with rear chine, double helm position and double rudder, not forgetting superb comfort. To see and to try, by French journalists too, as it is revealed for the first time in-water in France!

To see on the Beneteau stand: the Oceanis 38 , this 11.50 m progressive boat, as its name suggests, allows its owner to adapt it to his own type of use, his sailing area and his means. This highly ingenious system offers multiple possibilities of cruiser and even rethinks the use of the boat, leaving its owner free to choose its initial configuration. Designed to evolve, it adapts by adding or subtracting elements.

Another novelty expected at the show, the 310 Grand Large from Dufour Yachts. Fast, well-balanced, comfortable and easy to steer even single-handed, the 310 combines performance and design. Once again, Dufour Yachts has trusted the talented, innovative design of Umberto Felci, the Italian architect, for this spacious, comfortable model. The interior layout is set out with two cabins, a large kitchen and a large bathroom. Particular attention has been paid to light: the hull and bridge portholes provide generous natural daylight, making life on board this ship very agreeable.

An autonomous, silent new launch ... The SunSeaRider 16 is an autonomous solar catamaran. It can carry up to five people, and in particular people with reduced mobility, thanks to its wide on-board access. Its electric engine, as well as its bank of lithium batteries and photovoltaic sensors, allows the SunSeaRider 16 to offer an excellent compromise between speed and autonomy while respecting the environment.
