'The Minister for Ports has acted forthrightly to deliver better outcomes for Victoria’s recreational boating community and industry,' BIAV President Mr Paul Benjamin said.

'We are thrilled with the Minister’s keen grasp of the issues and more importantly his resolute action endeavouring to deliver good outcomes for Victorian recreational boaters.

'Mr Hodgett clearly understands the needs of our boaters and industry.

'The Working Group has a mammoth task in front of it and we will devote the necessary resources to ensure that the group has the best data available and support for its valuable contribution.

'We look forward to continuing to work with Minister Hodgett in delivering better infrastructure for recreational boaters and growth in our industry,' Mr Benjamin said.
