The RG System is not particularly new for Zenaq; they have actually been building rods like this since 2009. In the last few years we have seen a big switch from anglers choosing conventional K guide setups to preferring the RG option, to the point where Zenaq has discontinued making some models in the standard setup. There are a couple of cases where a more conventional guide setup makes sense, so Zenaq will continue to make the heavier Accura 100H and 100HH Shore casting rods in the Ocean build. These rods feature Fuji MNSG guides for the lowest 4 guides, which are ideal when anglers are running extra heavy leaders (over 150lb or so) with bulky leader knots. The Accura 100HH Ocean rod is in stock now, with the 100H Ocean rod due to arrive late this month.
In other Zenaq News, the Monster Buster TC77 Tuna rods are expected to start arriving later this month. This is a limited edition rod designed for tackling the largest of tuna possible on casting tackle. The blank can handle quite high angle loads, so the angler is able to lean back and effectively high-stick the rod - letting the blank take most of the load while battling the giant fish. These rods have mostly been pre-sold, but there are a few left - so if casting at massive tuna sounds like your thing then we have the perfect rod coming.
