The Australian Superyacht, Marine Export and Commercial Marine Industry conference (ASMEX) will return in 2018 and organisers are promising the biggest and best edition yet. Following the success of ASMEX 2017, industry's rush to reconfirm support of the event indicates the level of respect the conference has gained from industry key stakeholders within the domestic and global superyacht and marine industries.

Now recognised as a must attend event on the global marine industry calendar, with the 2017 year seeing 17% of attendees crossing international waters to attend, the ASMEX conference has proven it has it all when it comes to providing quality information and invaluable networking opportunities with leading industry stakeholders.

ASMEX 2018 will return to Sanctuary Cove Queensland May 21-23, immediately prior to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show's 30th anniversary. The conference theme of "Changing the game down under. Australia has it all", stems from the consistent growth the Australian superyacht industry has displayed over the past decade, and signifies the role Australia has played and will play in defining the current trends of the changing global market.

The conference theme will drive a program that delivers insight into these global market trends; what is really happening in the South Pacific; provide relevant information on key marketing and communications trends; outline the Australian government's strategy for establishing Australia as the new destination and the governments focus of driving growth within all sectors of Australia's marine industry, and provide those invaluable opportunities to network and develop industry alliances and relationships.

It will mark the 8th consecutive year Sanctuary Cove has hosted ASMEX, a conference which has grown to become the leading Superyacht, Marine Exports and Commercial Marine industry conference in Australia and Asia-Pacific. The event has gained significant momentum over the past seven years and is set to attract an even greater presence of international delegates in its 8th year. The 2018 conference will also include an update from NZ on the 2021 America's Cup, an event that is already putting a strong spotlight on the South Pacific Region.

AIMEX Chairman Richard Chapman said "It is gratifying to see the support this event is receiving and shows the work we are doing is valued within the industry. We are very pleased with the result and look forward to another significant and well attended event".

"The marine industry atmosphere on the Gold Coast will be a hive of activity around the weeks of ASMEX and obviously before with the Commonwealth games. It will be a time for all marine industry stakeholders to make space in their calendars to head Down Under and be a part of an exciting time of growth in the Australian Superyachts, Marine Exports and Commercial Marine Industries. ASMEX is where you need to be if you want to remain relevant in this changing scene".

"Support of this key industry conference has again been outstanding with industry realising the opportunity for brand profile alongside ASMEX. Pantaenius Yacht Insurance has maintained their support and are returning as major sponsors of ASMEX 2018, the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will also return as a key sponsor supporting the industry, alongside the Queensland Government, Gold Coast City Council, Aqualuma LED Lighting, Quality Marine Clothing, AwlGrip, Maxwell Marine, Triton Submarines, Seven Star Transport, Bellingham Marine, Penske Power Systems" commented AIMEX and Superyachts Australia CEO, MaryAnne Edwards.

Andrew Rossi, Sales Manager –Marine, Penske Power Systems added: "The ASMEX conference is a great showcase of Australian businesses supporting the marine industry. It also demonstrates the commitment of local businesses to develop and promote the Australian and South Pacific regions as a premier destination for the global superyacht fleet". "This is the eighth year that Penske Power Systems has sponsored the ASMEX conference. Our affiliation with ASMEX and our ongoing support of Superyacht Australia and ACMG keeps us in touch with industry developments whilst also offering flow on benefits from the great work undertaken for the industry by these associations. As a sponsor of such a high profile event, we are also given the opportunity to promote our brand directly to key stakeholders within the industry." commented Rossi.

As the only annual superyacht, marine export and commercial industry Conference in Australia, ASMEX attracts and connects key industry stakeholders, delegates and speakers from across Australia and around the world. There is no other event quite like ASMEX, bringing together the Superyacht, Marine Exports and Commercial Marine sectors under the one umbrella. Don't miss the opportunity to showcase your brand or business to a highly engaged audience.
