Launched at the 2017 Miami Boat Show, the Aquila 36 represents the latest innovation from the world's leading power catamaran brand.
Like no other in its class it's designed to be a luxury weekend family boat or it also makes for a great ocean going fishing boat, dive boat, cocktail cruiser or even passenger vessel with a comfortable seating capacity for 20 guests.
Huge deck area with three separate gathering areas
The multiple entertaining areas and seating capacity for 20 provide great versatility. Whether it's fishing aft and champagne forward, or perhaps adults aft and teenagers forward? The choice is yours.
The impressive and spacious bow entertaining area, accessible via the walk through windshield, has the wow factor with its impressive finish and seating that can be configured three different ways. Choose eight seats facing each other, or wide lounges and aft facing seats or fold to make two double, luxury sun beds. Included are flip down arm rests, LED lit cup holders, speakers and mounting points for an optional collapsible bow awning.
Aft there is seating running nearly all the way across the stern, with a section that also transforms into a double sunbed, providing comfortable sunbeds for 6 people at one time. Plus, between the outboard engines is a large swim deck with a bench seat, for use when not underway. The Aquila 36 swim platform comes standard with a deep tread swim ladder or an optional hydraulic swim platform not seen on luxury yachts of this size before.
Stability, space and glamour – The entertainer's dream
The Aquila 36 is an outboard powered sport catamaran, and as it's a catamaran, its beam width is carried from its bow to its stern, making its deck area larger than most 55 foot yachts – yet without the lean or roll of a monohull. On the central deck area, under the expansive hard top (with optional electric sunroof) is a well designed and storage packed galley and L-shaped dining area which includes a collapsible pedestal table. The galley also comes fully equipped with a BBQ, fridge and freezer for truly easy entertaining or family weekends away.
Spacious overnight accommodation for four
In addition to all this wonderful space, there are two separate companionway entries that each lead down to a cabin with a double bed and ensuite, including a head and shower. With a head height of 1.98m and expansive hull side windows and overhead hatches, it ensures a feeling of space, light and comfort. Excellent storage is found all round. Add the optional air conditioning and you are sure to be comfortable in all conditions.
Skipper's delight
The skipper never needs to feel removed from the action nor at a disadvantage as the helm position offers excellent visibility all round. Add to this, the state-of-the-art RayMarine and SmartCraft navigation package, a companion seat to starboard and a two seater to port and it's obvious the skipper has been well considered. The Aquila has boarding gates in the hull – both port and starboard, making for easy access via the dock. Plus don't overlook its 60cm draft, allowing this catamaran to take you places a monohull never could. The skipper will also enjoy the easy handling and manoeuvrability due to its wide-set twin engines.
Performance guaranteed
Performance of the Aquila 36 is guaranteed as extensive testing has been completed over many months. With the incredibly smooth and quiet Mercury Verado motors which can achieve well over 30 knots. (Speed is dependent on engine selection from 2 x 250hp with options up to a max of 2 x 350hp and overall weight dependent on options and passenger capacity). The very high bridge deck clearance assures a smooth ride. The Aquila 36 comes with a five-year structural warranty.
