Allen Brothers is pleased to announce its continued support of the RS600 fleet by sponsoring the Nationals taking place at Stone Sailing Club over the 28th 30th June.
The 2019 edition of the Allen 600 Nationals is set to be a good one, with the class seeing a huge resurgence last season and the biggest nationals (26 boats) in over nine years. Nineteen boats have already entered into the east coast event and with over six weeks to go that number is bound to keep rising.
Liz Adams, managing director of Allen Brothers, commented "Its great to be involved with the 600 fleet. They're a fleet of sailors who prove you can have great high-performance fun without having the latest and greatest carbon foiling machines!"
The class also appears to be attracting lots of youngsters to the fleet as Team Allen sailor and newbie 600-er, Dylan Collingbourne said "I've recently transitioned from an RS Feva into bigger boats such as a Laser Radial but I soon decided I wanted to sail something a bit more exciting. I was lucky enough to do the RS games last year and had sailed alongside the some of the 600s during their Nationals; seeing them made me want to join in."
Dylan, who is based near the Nationals venue, then went on to say, "As a Burnham Sailing Club member, the Nationals are only down the road at Stone SC just a 15 minutes' drive. I have sailed at this club several times. It has a great expanse of water creating perfect sailing conditions."
