11th Hour Racing published today a new short video about the magical connection between soil, oysters, and ocean health featuring the work of two of our outstanding grantees, Billion Oyster Project in New York City and Harvest Cycle Compost in Providence, Rhode Island, and their critical work on oyster shell recycling and composting to restore our ocean to its vibrancy.

This video was created to inspire people to think differently about humble things such as oysters, soil, and food scraps and take on the simple solutions highlighted in the video in their own communities and everyday lives.

From the bustling boulevards to the urban backyards, nature is teaching us how it can heal and restore itself -- like magic. Meet the oyster: it doesn't look like a magician, but did you know one oyster can filter 50 gallons of water in a day? Or, consider food scraps: by simply composting instead of throwing them in the trash, you remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, mitigating climate change.

So what are you waiting for? Choose magic: 11thhourracing.org/magic
