Ryan began his solo journey to San Francisco via Cape Horn on Tuesday, January 18th. He will be attempting the word record for the fastest single handed route to San Francisco.

The current record for this trip is 81 days, and Ryan plans on making it in just 70 days!

He is heading down to South America, hugging the Atlantic Coast. Once there he plans on working with the weather routers and getting around the horn as fast and as safely as possible.

Jzerro weighs about 3,200 LBS, and this go around Ryan has a water filtration system, so the boats overall load is much lighter than his last attempt in 2021. With that said, Ryan is aiming to have an average speed of 10 knots throughout his trip.

"I am feeling pretty confident that this can be done," Ryan Finn stated.

Ryan's 36' Proa Jzerro features Colligo Marine Extra Lightweight Headsail Furling (ELHF) Systems, Engineered Synthetic Standing Rigging, Torque Rope for the storm job, and Colligo Dux Running Rigging.

Ryan explained, "Colligo Marine products are very durable. I am very happy with them. They are the one thing I'm secure about throughout this journey."
