Denison Yachting announces exclusive listing of 198 ft Leapher Yacht Horizon, now under construction

by Denison Yachting 7 Jun 2024 06:52 PDT

Denison is pleased to announce its exclusive listing of the 198' Leapher HORIZON, represented by Denison yacht brokers Alex G. Clarke and Kit Denison.

Alex recently visited the old Shipyard De Hoop in Tolkamer, the Netherlands, about an hour and a half away from the Amsterdam International Airport, where the superyacht is currently under construction. "I love seeing new life brought into a shipyard that has such great heritage," he shared.

Accommodating 14 guests in six staterooms, HORIZON is a polar-classed explorer with a massive volume of 1,700 gross tons. The 199-foot vessel features architecture and design elements from some of the best names in the industry, including Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Cor D. Rover, and O7 Designers. She can traverse the high latitude regions and provide 40 days of autonomy at sea. HORIZON is decked out with all the necessities of a luxury yacht, including a dedicated beach club, expansive pool, sauna, gym, diving room, expansive garage for tenders and water toys, and more. With a top speed of 12 knots, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots with a range of 14,000 nautical miles.

Alex commented: "Leapher is a newly formed Dutch shipyard founded by a dynamic, forward-thinking team which I am extremely excited to partner with in offering the 62m expedition yacht HORIZON for sale. HORIZON is a polar-classed explorer yacht with global capabilities that will be built to the pedigree one would expect coming out of Holland. Expect big things from Leapher Shipyard in the future, and I welcome the opportunity to play a small role in their future success."

Regarding the construction of the vessel, he stated: "The hull and superstructure for HORIZON have been married and are completed with all major machinery being installed along with pipe work. She is on schedule for a September 2025 delivery, when she plans on making her international debut at the Monaco Yacht Show."

"HORIZON represents the only new polar-classed expedition yacht currently under construction and available for sale with a delivery in the next two years, so this is an extremely attractive opportunity to purchase a true global explorer and start planning a trip of a lifetime. At 1,710 gross tons, she has the volume of at minimum a 70-75-meter or even larger yacht. Dynamic positioning, a massive beach club, and a garage give clients the ability to carry an almost unlimited supply of toys.nThe machine spaces are unlike anything I have ever seen with the entire lower deck dedicated to the operations of the vessel. The welding and metal work is as fine as anything coming out of Northern Europe so when finished she is really going to shock the market when sitting in Port Hercules during the Monaco Yacht Show."

HORIZON is one of the most exciting projects to be launched in 2025 and Denison looks forward to showing the world what Leapher Shipyard is all about.

HORIZON is currently offered exclusively for sale with Denison Yachting, asking €73 million.
