Molabo Appoints Tommi Salonen to Lead Global Marine Sales

Molabo GmbH, the German manufacturer of safe, high-performance 48-volt electric propulsion systems, has appointed Tommi Salonen as Head of Global Marine Sales. In his new role, Salonen will lead the company's commercial expansion in the fast-growing electric boating market.
With more than two decades of international experience in marine propulsion, boat manufacturing and boating equipment, including leadership positions at Quick S.p.A., Torqeedo, and BRP, Salonen will shape Molabo's sales strategy and expand its network of OEM and distribution partners worldwide. Salonen will represent Molabo at METSTRADE and upcoming industry events.
"Tommi's broad experience in network development, business transformation, and global sales makes him the right person to accelerate our next phase of growth," said Adrian Patzak, CCO of Molabo.

Molabo's award-winning ARIES drives operate at just 48 volts, eliminating the need for high-voltage certified personnel, specialized equipment, or complex installation and service procedures. The company's low-voltage architecture reduces system cost and risk while maintaining powerful, efficient propulsion with up to 200 kW system power.
A lifelong sailor and ocean racer, Salonen is motivated by the real-world difference electric propulsion can make on the water. "Creating systems that make boating quieter, safer, and more sustainable reflects both my personal passion and Molabo's mission," he said.
