Lürssen Americas has officially opened its new office at Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale, marking a significant step in strengthening the company's presence in the United States. The milestone was celebrated during the annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show at the heart of the city's superyacht community.

The new Fort Lauderdale office provides clients with access to the full suite of Lürssen services - refit, new build, and yacht management - from the premier superyacht marina development in Florida.

"When we established our Americas office here in 2018, the vision for Pier Sixty-Six was first being cast, and we knew we wanted to be a part of it," says Timothy Hamilton, Director of Lürssen Americas. "Now, with the redevelopment complete, we are positioned to anchor Lürssen's outreach to the important market in the Americas by supporting the shipyard and our clients from initial concept through to long-term stewardship."

The redeveloped marina features 164 slips accommodating yachts up to 122 metres, positioning Fort Lauderdale as a true year-round operational base for superyachts.

Founded in 1875, Lürssen celebrates its 150th Jubilee this year. Through four generations of the Lürssen family, the company has grown from modest beginnings into a global leader in superyacht construction, renowned for its engineering excellence, craftsmanship, and innovation.

With a workforce of 2,000 across three state-of-the-art shipyards in northern Germany, Lürssen builds yachts ranging from 60 to over 180 metres and carries out multiple refits simultaneously at its dedicated facilities.

The Americas market remains pivotal for Lürssen, with nearly 350 metres of yachts delivered to American clients in 2024 alone, including KISMET, recently named Motor Yacht of the Year at the International Superyacht Society Design & Leadership Awards.

From its Fort Lauderdale headquarters, Lürssen Americas offers clients and guests direct access to German yachtbuilding excellence.
