BIA Marine Jobs and TAFE QLD have partnered to showcase the Coomera Marine Precinct and jobs and skill pathways.
BIA is supporting the delivery of TAFE Queensland's Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation (Marine Focus) and Certificate II in Engineering Pathways (Marine Focus) by providing industry-led experiences which enhance student learning and career exploration. These qualifications will be available for Year 11 students and are a stepping stone to the Cert III apprenticeships in Marine Craft Construction and Marine Mechanical Technology.
BIA will also be delivering Marine Card as part of this pathway. In addition, students will gain insights into the industry locally via tours of the Coomera Marine Precinct including the opportunity to meet business and see skills in real world practice.
This program is being launched on 18 March when 30 high school Industry Liaison Officers will meet for a tour of the Marine Precinct, which will include TAFE QLD Coomera Marine Campus, Riviera and The Boat Works.
