Tartan Yachts is proud to announce a new partnership with renowned naval architect Bill Prince of Bill Prince Yacht Design. This collaboration brings together one of America's most respected performance-cruising brands with a designer celebrated for technical excellence, innovation, and timeless sailing aesthetics.

Bill Prince is widely recognized for his leadership in modern yacht design and engineering. Prince has spent decades refining high-performance hull forms and sail plans for both custom and production yachts. His designs have earned acclaim for their balance of speed, stability, and refined comfort, and he has contributed to numerous successful launches across the American sailing market. Known for blending advanced naval architecture with practical cruising sensibility, Prince's work consistently delivers boats that perform beautifully under sail while remaining purposeful and enduring in style.

Through this partnership, Tartan and Prince are developing an exciting new model that will expand the Tartan lineup in an important way. The new design—anticipated to fall in the 27-30 foot range—will be a smaller, highly capable cruising yacht that brings the Tartan experience to an expanded audience. Purposefully designed to be more attainable, it will offer an affordable entry point for sailors new to the brand, young families seeking meaningful time on the water, and couples looking for a refined weekend escape.

While more compact in size, the new model will remain unmistakably Tartan. Elegant lines, a balanced and responsive helm, practical deck ergonomics, and a thoughtfully crafted interior will all reflect the heritage owners expect. At the same time, the boat will incorporate modern hull efficiency, performance-focused design elements, and exceptional comfort—coming together in a sailing experience so rewarding that owners will find themselves eager to return to the water weekend after weekend.

Another key feature of the project is flexibility. The new model will offer a range of thoughtfully planned options—allowing owners to tailor their boat to their style of sailing. Buyers will be able to customize interiors, equipment packages, and performance features to create the experience that fits them best.

"Our goal is evolution without compromise," said Jon Duer, CEO of Tartan Yachts. "Bill understands what makes a Tartan a Tartan. Together, we're building on that legacy—advancing performance and innovation while preserving the proportions, craftsmanship, and sailing experience that define our brand."

This new model reflects a shared philosophy: performance-driven cruising designed for real sailors—boats that shine during an exhilarating daysail, foster lasting memories on a family weekend escape, and settle gracefully into a quiet evening at anchor. The partnership signals a deliberate and exciting step forward for Tartan, reinforcing its commitment to American design, thoughtful engineering, and yachts that reward those who truly love to sail.

More details about specifications, layout options, and launch timing will be announced in the coming months.
