The appearance marks the brand's first U.S. boat show debut, and international launch of the flagship 72-foot luxury power catamaran.
GranOcean will present its W-72 power catamaran to the American public for the first time at the upcoming Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS). The showcase signals a major step in the builder's North American expansion and introduces U.S. buyers to a new benchmark in spacious, long-range power catamaran cruising.
As part of that growth strategy, GranOcean is expanding its international relationship with Catamaran Guru, which will serve as the brand's exclusive global sales and distribution representative. The collaboration strengthens GranOcean's presence in North America and provides American buyers with dedicated multihull expertise and localized support.
While the W-72 has previously launched privately, Palm Beach marks the first opportunity for U.S. consumers and industry professionals to step aboard the 72-foot flagship in a public setting.
Built for owners who prioritize space, stability and customization, the W-72 represents the top of GranOcean's W Line, a semi-custom series ranging from 60 to 72 feet. With a 32.9-foot beam, the yacht delivers full-beam living areas, large alfresco entertaining zones and flexible cabin configurations designed for extended cruising. The multihull platform offers inherent stability under way and at anchor, creating a refined onboard experience whether cruising offshore or entertaining dockside.
Efficiency is equally central to the design. At displacement cruising speeds of approximately 8 knots, the W-72 consumes as little as 22 liters (5.8 gallons) per hour, highlighting the platform's cruising efficiency and focus on long-range operating economy.
"Palm Beach gives U.S. buyers the opportunity to experience firsthand what sets the W-72 apart," said Eric So, co-founder of GranOcean. "Owners are increasingly looking for greater interior volume, fuel efficiency and the ability to personalize their yacht without moving into a much larger size category. The W-72 delivers that balance of space, stability and customization in a way that reflects how people actually cruise."
The expanded U.S. representation with Camaran Guru reflects GranOcean's long-term commitment to the American market and to supporting owners throughout the purchasing and build process.
"The American market is ready for a power catamaran that truly prioritizes owner lifestyle," said Jeremy Tutt, Power Division Director at Catamaran Gurus. "The W-72 offers extraordinary volume, thoughtful engineering and genuine long-range cruising capability. We're excited to introduce GranOcean to buyers who want something distinct from traditional monohull motoryachts."
GranOcean's portfolio is structured across two distinct model lines:
- W-Line - 60 to 72 feet - Modern semi-custom power catamarans optimized for spacious, owner-focused cruising, emphasizing interior volume, stability, and long-range efficiency.
- X-Line - 24 to 32 meters - GranOcean's fully custom series, created for owners who desire a yacht built around their vision, with flexibility across layout, interior styling, engineering specifications, and finish selections.
Private viewings of the W-72 during the show are available by appointment.
