NMMA's new Waterways Access Initiative (WAI) policy brochure is now available, providing members and industry partners with a concise overview of the policy priorities driving their work to protect and expand access to America's waterways.
The brochure highlights key priorities, including the passage of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA), reauthorization of the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, and the passage of the America the Beautiful Act to fund the Legacy Restoration Fund.
"The Quiet Powerhouse: How East Tennessee Became a Giant of American Boat Manufacturing" explores how communities in Monroe, Loudon, and Blount counties became home to manufacturers producing everything from family runabouts and wake boats to custom center consoles and luxury yachts. In Monroe County alone, the marine industry supports approximately 4,000 jobs and generates an estimated $800 million in annual economic activity.
The International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) has announced the distinguished list of judges for the 23rd IBEX Innovation Awards Program. Managed by NMMA and independently judged by Boating Writers International, the program is one of the marine industry's most prestigious honors recognizing manufacturers and suppliers who bring new, innovative products to market. Each of the six judges comes to IBEX with various technical and boating backgrounds.
The National Marine Trades Council (NMTC) convened its 53rd Annual Conference July 20-23, at South Lake Tahoe, California. More than 30 executive directors, presidents, CEOs, and association staff representing state and national marine trade associations from across the United States and Canada gathered to share successful programs, exchange strategies, and align on priorities shaping the recreational boating industry.

Denis Le Vot, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Sébastien Martel, Chief Financial Officer, will present the results of the second quarter and address questions from analysts on a conference call.
