MIASF represented South Florida's marine industry at the inaugural Manufacturing Workforce Expo at Atlantic Technical College, hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration and co-hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor and OpenAI.
Apprenticeship Coordinator Prem Barbosa and Workforce Development Specialist and Salty Jobs host Anthony Santiago connected with students and aspiring apprentices, sharing the career pathways, training opportunities and workforce programs available through MIASF and across the marine industry.
The Expo brought students and manufacturers together around employment, apprenticeships and workforce development, with a focus on building the skilled workforce pipeline.
For MIASF, participating meant bringing marine careers into that conversation and showing students another industry, and another set of opportunities, available to them right here in South Florida.
