Boat Show Season - Time for new product announcements & boat launches | New Jeanneau model launches at Melbourne Boat Show 38 South Boat Sales | In case you hadn't noticed we are right in the middle of Boat Show season with the Melbourne show running from the 16th June (today) until the 19th June at the Melbourne Convention and Entertainment Centre followed by Adelaide between the 30th June - 2nd July at the Adelaide Showground, then the Sydney International Boat Show at the new International Convention Centre and Cockle Bay Marina, Darling Harbour between the third- 7th August and finally the Brisbane Show on the 25th - 27th August at South Bank.
We will bring you news of as many new product and boat announcements as possible and this week we start with the announcement that Jeanneau will once again be exhibiting at the Melbourne Boat Show and will include a number of new models that will be on display for the first time in Australia. These include the stunning Cap Camarat 7.5 Walk Around with all the luxuries of a large cruiser including a top speed of 40 knots, the Merry Fisher 795 Marlin with twin Yamaha steering ideal for serious fishing and the Merry Fisher 605.

At the same show Brett Thurley and Patrick Martel will have on display the following new Cobalts. The 2017 R5 Surf fully loaded surf package including Volvo 350 HP forward drive. The CS-1, a brand new model that will make its Australian premiere at the show, the 26 SD in sandstone hull and fully loaded with options and the 25 SC, the first outboard Cobalt in 40 years and fitted with an ice white 300 HP verado with shale grey hull and yellow accent making her Victorian debut.

An interesting development regards Australian Tourism is apparently happening. In the last month, The Kimberley in north Western Australia has garnered significant interest from the global yachting community reinforcing what local players have always known; it is undervalued as a charter destination.
After receiving the Voyager Award at the World Superyacht Awards in Florence, The Kimberley is again front and centre as 42-metre M/Y ANDA took pole position in the Best 21 charter yachts available in remote areas.

AIMEX (the Australian Marine Export Industry Group) have been busy running a series of four seminars throughout June, organized by AIMEX in conjunction with the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science Entrepreneurs' Programme and supported by the Australian Industry Group to provide members the skills to be competitive when tendering and to better articulate their business capability.
