Technology also play a part in the design of new yachts and powerboats and the new Jeanneau is no exception. The NC33 notably features an excellent hull design by Michael Peters. With no steps, the interior layout meets the demands of the NC concept. Life on board is easy and enjoyable. Designed for life on the sea, the NC 33 is very open to the exterior. Everything has been carefully considered for comfortable, harmonious cruising.

That attention to detail may be the reason that the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 has sold out the entire first year's planned production in no less than three weeks! Luckily three boats were reserved for Australian customers and all three have already been sold!

Design also plays an important part in providing the best clothing for days when the weather is not the best. Zhik's Kiama® Coat is designed for keeping warm in cold and wet conditions, especially when you are already wet. Whether you are rigging the boat in driving rain, sitting it out between races or in the coach boat in bad weather, this coat is for you. Practical and versatile, Kiama® Coat is a cosy, insulated long-fitting jacket that is waterproof inside and out. The waterproof, breathable lightweight shell on the inside, as well as the outer, means the jacket can go on over damp shore jackets and wet sailing gear, preventing chilling between races or when rigging and de-rigging in a cold boat park.

There is no doubt that design and experience were used in the shaping of the latest offering from the Australian plate aluminium boat builder Bar Crusher. Just launched is their latest special edition series – the ‘Exocet'.

Named after the French-built ‘flying fish' missile, the Exocet follows the success of Bar Crusher's previous special edition series, the Apache, which was released in 2010.
