Beneteau have announced a new Sales Director who will handle the brand's international commercial strategy. Luca Brancaleon who qualified in Law at the University of Parma in 1996, has solid sales management experience in international multi-brand positions. An expert in languages and foreign cultures, his vision of the profession is largely geared towards customer expectations, to which he responds with a rigorous sales approach.

Marine history is also a subject that doesn't get covered often so here's a piece on Dirk Hartog, the mariner who made the first documented European landing on Australia's west coast. This week the Australian National Maritime Museum welcomed the first European artefact to appear on Australian soil, the Dirk Hartog Plate, to Sydney on special loan from the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
