I attended the first Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in 1988 when the show was created as a way of luring potential property buyers to the surrounding real estate, pioneered by the late Michael Gore who created the Sanctuary Cove vision. The show has developed exponentially since then and in recent years conferences have attached themselves to the May calendar and take place in conjunction with the show.
The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has announced that Marinas19 International Conference and Trade Exhibition will be held on the Gold Coast Queensland on the 26th and 27th of May 2019. Marinas19 will immediately follow the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) that flows on from the Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX).
MIA Chairman Andrew Chapman said the announcement of the Gold Coast as the location for Marinas19 was based on the success of past Gold Coast events. "Having the event on the back of ASMEX and SCIBS also means there will be a nine day national and international focus on the marine industry. This will generate significant synergies for industry stakeholders and from marketing prospective provide an Asia/Pacific wide focus on the marine industry and the Gold Coast".

One of the exhibitors at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will be Multihull Solutions, who are gearing up for record interest. The company will be showcasing two of Fountaine Pajot's most successful catamarans at its marina stand on Marina Pier E/F: the stylish Lucia 40 sailing catamaran and the impressive MY 44 power catamaran. Multihull Solutions will also have a dedicated Pre-Owned Brokerage display inside the Main Pavilion for buyers interested in used catamarans and trimarans. Representatives of NEEL Trimarans will also be at the event to answer all queries about these world-leading cruising trimarans.
From Far Eat Yachts, the Far East 28R will be on show at the Sanctuary Cove show. Far East yachts are inviting visitors to visit them on D-Jetty in the water where people can feel, sniff and touch the yacht.
While on the subject of Boat Shows, tickets are now on sale for South Australia's most comprehensive boating show. The Adelaide Boat Show runs from the 15th until the 17th of June at the Adelaide Showground, with all entry tickets to the show priced at just $10, and children 16 years of age and younger admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
