World Boating Day 2026 concluded last weekend in spectacular style, bringing together 28 countries across 143 events in a global celebration of life on the water.
From shipyards and marinas to museums and vibrant waterfront destinations, the initiative welcomed industry leaders, families, students and first-time visitors into a shared experience of discovery, connection and adventure on and around the water.
Deadline approaching! If you've worked on removing abandoned vessels, developing recycling solutions for fiberglass or shrink-wrap, or building programs to prevent boating-related debris, the BoatUS Foundation wants to hear from you. The deadline to apply as a speaker at the Turning the Tide Summit is June 1. The summit takes place December 6-9 in New Orleans and will bring together government agencies, marine professionals, environmental experts, and waste management leaders.
The Yacht Racing Forum programme is taking shape and promises two days of high-level discussions dedicated to sailing and yacht racing. Held in Amsterdam on November 19-20, right after Metstrade, the Forum will place a strong emphasis on the key forces shaping the industry. Topics will include artificial intelligence, sponsorship in a challenging economic environment, race formats, event management, host venue strategies, innovation in yacht design, and the contribution of yacht racing to maritime decarbonisation.

Valhalla Yacht Sales has expanded into North Carolina with a new location in Wrightsville Beach, representing Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks. Based at Bridge Tender Marina on the Intracoastal Waterway, the new location places VYS in one of the region's most active boating and fishing markets. Sales Professional Clark Sneed, a 26-year boat broker in the region, will lead the Wrightsville Beach operation.
Maritimo, Australia's world-class luxury motor yacht builder, expanded its next-generation model line-up with the global launch of the all-new S50 Sedan Motor Yacht at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
