Time aboard Riviera's blissful Sport Motor Yacht 68...

by John Curnow on 17 Sep 2017
Sydney’’s CBD forms a wonderful backdrop for the Riviera armada... - Riviera Sport Motor Yacht 68 John Curnow
Pictured here and the star of our video just below is Riviera's ultra-impressive and new Sport Motor Yacht 68. This particular one is the first out of the mould, and is now with her delighted owners. Hull #2 make a grand entrance at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival, and then the third one to be laid up was the first of the larger sister, the Sport Motor Yacht 72, which has an even bigger cockpit.

Whilst not an entirely new concept, for Bertram and Hatteras did it back in the day, and then Broward too, taking a Sportsfisherman (or Convertible in North America) and adding comfort and space meant you could have the look you wanted, and the creature comforts you needed. Riviera's thoroughly modern take utilises features like V-Drive, full beam Owner's Stateroom, internal staircase, VIP Stateroom for'ard with island bed, mezzanine deck incorporating direct galley access, and a fully enclosed bridge to provide a wonderful alternative to European superyachts, and deliver genuine passage making capabilities in the process!
