Camper launches a Volvo Ocean Race inspired apparel collection

by Ruth Coughlan, Camper UK on 7 Nov 2011
Camper T-SHIRT. Camper
Spanish footwear brand Camper launches a new apparel and accessories collection to complement its Volvo Ocean Race inspired footwear ranges.

The Majorca-based company presents two new lines of shoes designed, engineered and tested together with Emirates Team New Zealand. Seamar, the official shoe on board CAMPER, is Camper’s most technical shoe to date, while Water Runner is an extremely lightweight sneaker. The collection features Musto’s extensive knowledge of technical sailing shoes.

Camper’s graphic statement with their breath-taking V70 CAMPER Lifelovers has inspired the Spanish product teams to design a full collection matching the new shoe lines. Conceived as a casual line, the collection includes two more technical pieces developed in collaboration with leading British brand Musto: a 100% waterproof spray jacket and a warm yet light and breathable fleece.

Keepsake of Camper’s sailing adventure is the logoed red team tee-shirt, sporting the exclusive pattern designed by renowned British design studio Farrow for CAMPER’s sails and hull. This unique pattern, inspired in the Camper own 'bridge' logo, is indeed the leit motiv of the Ocean Race Collection, finding its way on shoes, bags and sunglasses.

Participating together with Emirates Team New Zealand in the Volvo Ocean Race 2011–12 motivates Camper to continue innovating in design and high performance products and strengthen its presence around the world.

The footwear collection is available at Camper stores and premium multi-brand stores worldwide. Apparel and accessories are to be found exclusively at selected Camper stores and on www.camper.com.
