After launching their new Hudson Bay lobster style sedan cruisers at the Gold Coast Marine Expo in November 2013, Clipper Motor Yachts is pleased to announce it will be expanding its range with a 32ft model.
Designed and tooled from scratch as a new design, the 32 will have the same styling DNA as the 39 – a sleek and stylish sedan with flared hull and tumblehome transom in the Newport, Rhode Island tradition.
Clipper’s managing director, Brett Thurley, initially began the design process with a design that he and Mark Campion of Clipper collaborated on. Being 9.95m in length and 3.3m wide, the 32 is set to achieve the perfect balance of modern and classic themes with traditional 'lobster boat' lines.
Incorporating the same teak swim platform and overhead rain shower in the cockpit as the 34 and 39 models, the 32 will provide seamless entertaining with the cockpit and saloon presented on the same level. Entering through the transom door, the self draining cockpit is equipped with L shaped seating and table, extendable awning, BBQ area and stainless steel sliding door that transitions into the enclosed saloon.
'These superbly styled vessels are crafted for the buyer who wants something with a little more class and individuality over the production sports cruiser,' said Mr Thurley.
An L shaped dinette with Aniegre table will flow into the aft galley with Corian bench top, stainless steel sink, 42L fridge/freezer and microwave. Overhead, an optional glass-paneled sunroof will allow the natural light to illuminate the saloon and galley level.
Accommodation for four people is across a double master cabin and double convertible dinette - serving as an ideal family layout.
Based on customer feedback from boat shows and events, the focus was to create a family friendly layout and convenient sized vessel to appeal to mums and dads wanting to spend cruising weekends aboard rather than just day boating,' Mr Thurley said.
Extensive viewing through large side windows and windscreen will be obtained from the double helm seat covered in ultra leather, Raymarine GPS plotter and fishfinder will come standard along with a VHF radio and Italian crafted Isotta helm wheel.
Powered by a 240HP Yanmar diesel shaft drive engine, the hull design allows for cruising speeds on the plane above 14 knots and sprint speed approaching 20 knots with a 600L fuel tank capacity and a 3000 watt inverter/ battery charger.
Clipper Motor Yachts is pleased to have expanded its partnership with the family owned Turkoglu Yatcilik Ltd Shipyard in Turkey. Clipper has benefited from the collaboration of multiple visits to the shipyard to meet with Davut, Mesut and Ibrahim Turkoglu to design, tool and manufacturer this new model alongside the Hudson Bay 34 and 39 models.
'We are extremely proud to be developing this gorgeous line of motor yachts with Clipper in Australia. To collaborate with Brett and his team on these new designs is exciting for us as we see our vessels presented on the other side of the world,' said Mesut Turkoglu, Managing Director of the shipyard.
The first hull is completed with the deck and internal fit out having commenced. This model is priced at $299,000 with the first boat due for her world premiere at Sanctuary Cove boat show in May, 2014.
