Do you want to add speed to your sailing campaign? One of the best ways to do this is to make sure your hull is clean and slick.

The two best products to use are Star Brite Marine Polish or McLube Hullkote - both are available to purchase from our online store!

Simply clean your hull, dry, and then apply the hull product to your Melges Scow or Sportboat. Allow the product to set then wipe off with a clean, dry towel. Right away you will notice a difference in the condition of your hull. Slippery = fast! Regular cleaning also extends the life of your hull.

If your boat is staying at the dock during a regatta, you'll want to jump in the water to give the hull a daily scrub down. A simple Scotch-Brite pad is sufficient for sloughing off any overnight growth.

The Melges Service Department here in Zenda, Wisconsin can also do this work for you. Our shop fixes all things Melges and can help you with everything from a buff and clean to gel coat repair.

Thank you for thinking Melges and think speed!
