The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA) announces that Dealer Week registration is now open. The event is scheduled for December 6-9, at the Tampa Convention Center, Florida.

Dealer Week 2026 will center its education on "The New Fundamentals" - a focused approach to helping marine retailers strengthen core business practices amid ongoing market shifts. The education will emphasize today's most essential skills across key areas such as artificial intelligence, innovation, leadership and customer experience and operational efficiency across marketing, sales and service.

On July 21, the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation held a roundtable on maritime safety regulation and technology, which brought together bipartisan members of Congress, senior leadership of the U.S. Coast Guard, and representatives from across the maritime sector, including the recreational boating industry.

With the entry deadline quickly approaching, the Newport International Boat Show announced the judging panel for the Newport for New Products Awards (NFNP) program. Celebrating 20 years in 2026, the Awards serve as one of the marine industry's most respected showcases for innovation and product excellence, providing exhibitors with a unique opportunity to introduce new boats and marine products to both consumers and industry leaders.

The Metlakatla Indian Community is now removing 27 abandoned and derelict vessels (ADVs) from waterways on the Annette Islands Reserve, a major step toward cleaner, safer waterways and healthier fisheries for the community. ADVs pollute Alaska's coastal waters and put commercial and subsistence fishing at risk. The latest removal effort completed July 16 brings the total number of ADVs removed from the area to six, restoring safe navigation.

Correct Craft has announced the acquisition of Fluid Motion, the parent company of Ranger Tugs, Cutwater Boats, and Solara Boats. Fluid Motion will continue to operate, retaining its own brands and team members, and will remain headquartered in Monroe, Washington while continuing to serve its dealers and owners. Ranger Tugs has been building boats since 1958, earning a loyal following for its craftsmanship and performance. That same following has grown alongside Cutwater Boats' precision engineering and Solara Boats' standout line-up of premium features. That combined community now joins Correct Craft, a family with over 100 years of history.
