The conference program for the Marinas24 International Conference and Trade Exhibition has been finalised and is available online. Complimenting the biggest trade exhibition to date, the two-day program will tackle a range of industry issues including a focus on specific operational matters, exploring opportunities and showcasing innovations of the future.

It is comprised of 24 conference sessions - a mix of plenary and concurrent sessions - delivered through a variety of keynote presentations, workshops and discussion panels. The program kicks off with an Economic Overview and Forecast from National Australia Bank's Tapas Strickland and quickly moves to focus on the opportunities for the marine industry in Australia and the broader Asia Pacific Region that will present as we head towards 2032.

Boat show exhibitors continue to advise of their line-ups. Carbon Yachts has announced the Queensland premiere of the Virtue V10 T-Top at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, taking place from May 23-26. With two Virtue V10s already finding their homes in Queensland, Carbon Yachts looks forward to introducing the V10 to a broader audience during the four-day event.

Safety updates are always welcome and the NSW Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Recovery Janelle Saffin this week welcomed a new $862,930 Marine Rescue NSW vessel, which provides a significant boost for the Woolgoolga community. Ms Saffin was joined by Marine Rescue NSW Commissioner Alex Barrell to officially commission Woolgoolga 30 to the Marine Rescue NSW fleet. The new vessel, funded by the NSW Government, was today also named the Tamieka Lee.

And not far away, Minister for the Central Coast and Member for Wyong the Hon. David Harris today welcomed a new $355,000 Marine Rescue NSW vessel, which provides a significant boost for the Tuggerah Lakes community. The new vessel was named the Tony Younglove and Mr Harris said it was an honour to commission the vessel in recognition of Tony's commitment and contribution to the Marine Rescue Tuggerah Lakes unit.

Business for sale: After establishing Barz Optics 28 years ago, Kevin Barr has decided to sell the company. Health issues over the last two years have taken their toll so it's time to smell the flowers. Kevin has been in the action sport industry for just over 50 years.
