The penetration of the Streaker Boats brand into the recreational boating market, has evolved further with the appointment of Pelican Marine and RV in South Australia, as an authorised Streaker dealer.

Pelican Marine and RV is a young and dynamic dealership located at Goolwa. Goolwa is an important historic river port, being situated on the banks of the Murray River. This is an immensely popular boating destination and is an easy 30 minute drive to the metropolitan fringe of Adelaide.

While Pelican Marine and RV is a well-established business, it was recently acquired by David Fisher who has totally re-invigorated the operation.

“David Fisher has a background in the automotive industry and that greatly appealed to us,” said Peter Benston, Streaker Boats Dealer Manager.

“Prior to meeting with David and Hazel Fisher we spoke to key suppliers who willingly provided us with positive and strong feedback on the business. We liked it that Pelican Marine and RV is a strong Mercury Outboards dealer and that Pelican Marine and RV has a complimentary division, in the caravan industry.”

“When all the various factors were laid out, we knew that Pelican Marine and RV is an exceptional fit for the Streaker Boats brand.”

Pelican Marine and RV, under the direction of new owners David and Hazel Fisher, has taken on an entirely new dynamic. There is fresh enthusiasm, a positive outlook on the future and a strong commitment to the brands which Pelican Marine and RV represents.

David Fisher has applied his business skill and expertise to assemble a new team both on the sales floor and also in the workshop.

“When we were approach to take on the Streaker Boats brand, we were flattered to be offered the opportunity,” David Fisher said.

“In the past Streaker has been a Melbourne centric product, but there is great brand awareness throughout South Australia. We see a good number of Streaker boats on the water.”

“Once we looked more deeply into the Streaker product and the engineering which goes into the hulls, it didn’t take long before we were talking about what Streaker models to stock as opposed to whether we would become a dealer or not.”

“What won the Pelican Marine and RV team over with Streaker is the quality of the manufacture, in particular the Streaker Composite Build technology which delivers a finished boat which is 100% timber free.”

Pelican Marine and RV has complete access to the full Streaker Boats range. This includes runabouts, cuddy cabs and the ever popular Sirocco bow riders. All Streaker Boats stocked and sold by Pelican Marine and RV will be factory rigged with Mercury Outboard engines.

South Australian customers will be taking delivery of turn-key Streaker Boats with an Easy Tow trailer and Mercury Outboard… all factory matched and ready to hit the water.
