Flying 15s at GTI Polaris Regatta, Holy Loch Sailing Club

Organised by Holy Loch Sailing Club the GTI Polaris Regatta held over the 13th and 14th September was a breathless affair. 21 Fifteens including 1 Open, 6 Silvers and 14 Classics took part in 4 infuriatingly calm races.

All the top boats managed one duff score whilst some of the newer teams managed on or two encouragingly good scores. Tight starts and rafts at marks were common as was that 'I think we're going backwards' feeling.

A lively ceilidh on the Saturday night and some spendid race management made up for any shortfall in the weather.

Sonata class win Robin Judah Trophy in Burnham Joe Cross, Russell Wheeler, Matt Hitt and Tim Lees, representing the Sonata class, won the 2025 edition of the Keelboat Endeavour, hosted by Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, in Burnham on Crouch, Essex, over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd of March. 110 sailors spread across 83 boats and 6 classes attended It was great to see over 110 sailors spread across 83 boats and six classes for the Ovington Inland championship.
