Industry members from the commercial vessel sector in Sydney met last week at the Drummoyne Sailing Club for the launch of the Sydney Harbour Liquor Accord.
With over 40 people in attendance to hear from NSW Liquor & Gaming, NSW Police's Marine Area Command, AMSA, RMS and BIA, it was a good kick-start to this important initiative being established by BIA to support commercial vessels operating on Sydney Harbour which also have a liquor license.
The accord will provide a much-needed focus for the sector's engagement with Liquor & Gaming and Marine Area Command and work is now underway to define a code of conduct for accord members and to setup a promotional campaign for working with BIA and SHLA members.
BIA is supporting the SHLA as a service to CV members in NSW and welcomes new applications for membership of the accord and BIA. Applications may be made online or by contacting Shane Wilson at to discuss specific requirements.
