Leading boating brands have been quick to secure prime spaces at the 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), with many industry giants set to unveil their latest gems to the Australian public for the first time and more.
To be held from May 23-26, the 31st instalment of SCIBS has already secured bookings from luxury power and sailing names including Maritimo, Horizon Motor Yachts Australia, Whitehaven and Integrity Motor Yachts, Alexander Marine, Multihull Solutions, EMarine, Multihull Central and Jeanneau power and sail.
The hugely popular PWC and trailerable segment will also be brimming with energy, with the likes of JSW Powersports, Club Marine, Sirocco Marine North, Wynnum Marine, Quintrex and Gold Coast Boating Centre all locked in.
"Exhibitor applications have been open for two weeks and a record number of businesses and brands have already secured their space," SCIBS General Manager Johan Hasser said.
"Visitors will be amazed at the diversity, quality and choice on display, with most exhibitors planning to launch new models or showcase multi-award-winning vessels."
Among the highlights will be Australian manufacturer Maritimo, one of SCIBS' long-standing exhibitors, unveiling the X50, the much-anticipated follow-up to its record-breaking X60.
Launched at SCIBS 2018, the X60 was Maritimo's most successful first release model to date and resulted in record sales success.
The smaller but equally feature-filled Maritimo X50 incorporates an innovative aft accommodation space accessible from saloon and swim platform deck, while the customisable aft cabin can be optioned and utilised as a beach club with ensuite, twin single stateroom with ensuite or 3.2m tender garage.
Horizon Motor Yachts Australia, another premium brand with its headquarters at Sanctuary Cove, will present a brilliant showcase of its current range, including the Horizon E75, the E84 and, making its Australian debut, the FD77 Skyline which has been described as the "pocket superyacht" and has been designed to appeal to the owner-operator.
"SCIBS is the highlight of our year," Horizon Motor Yachts Australia Manager Mark Western said.
"Many of our clients comes from interstate so it's a great opportunity for us to catch up with them and hear about their Horizon adventures."
For Whitehaven Motor Yachts, SCIBS 2019 will be its largest boat show to date, with an incredible line-up of new models including the Whitehaven 6100 Coupe and the launch of the entirely new marque Harbour Classic.
"We are always thrilled to attend SCIBS, which is the home show for Whitehaven and Integrity Motor Yachts," said Bruce Scott, the managing director of both brands.
From Integrity Motor Yachts, the new 380 SX will represent the launch of the SX range, which caters to a new generation looking to get into boating via various styling modifications.
Highly respected passagemaker specialist Fleming Yachts will have its exceptional Fleming 58 "Rapture" on show at SCIBS 2019.
"She is super smooth and quiet at all rpm and even when shifting gears from forward into reverse," Mr Nicholas said.
Alexander Marine, representing Ocean Alexander with the 70-foot, 85-foot and 88 Skylounge models on show, will launch the award-winning Galeon range of boats.
"SCIBS will be the Australian premiere of the Galeon brand," said Alexander Marine Dealer Principal Todd Holzapfel, who predicts its unique design features such as cantilevered "beach mode" aft balconies and optimised social spaces will strike a chord with Aussie boaties looking for "that little bit extra".
Multihull Solutions will also present several new models, including the Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42, the most successful 42ft blue-water cruising catamaran released during the past 10 years.
Alongside the Astrea 42 in the Multihull Solutions line-up will be the Fountaine Pajot Saona 47, the highly awarded "ultimate world cruising catamaran", and the Fountaine Pajot MY44, considered the game changer for the longer-range power category.
Other noteworthy brands that have already signed up for SCIBS 2019 include:
- EMarine with a selection of Sabre and Back Cove 'down-east-style' motor yachts;
- Jeanneau power and sail; and
- Multihull Central, representing Seawind, Corsair and Outremer sailing cats and the popular Aquila range of power cats.
"SCIBS 2019 is on track to being one of our largest events for many years," Mr Hasser said.
"Exhibitors are returning with many more boats, taking larger spaces on the marina, in the Pavilions and throughout the Marine Village and offering incredible show packages and promotions.
"For visitors looking to get into the aquatic lifestyle – from superyachts and syndicated boats to accessories and apparel to look the part – SCIBS 2019 is the go-to show."
