AIMEX Board additions announced

AIMEX are excited to announce the inclusion of two new Directors to the established and experienced board.

Kane Bygrave, Director of Aurora Global Logistics.

Kane will be taking up a Superyacht Australia role on the board. Kane began his career in the logistics industry in 1987, performing various roles within the Customs division of a German multinational organisation. Kane progressed into management roles within the logistics industry, before opening the doors as a partner and director at Aurora Global Logistics in 2001. Today Aurora employ 15 staff, 6 of whom specialise in logistical services and advice to the boating sector handling everything from trailer boats to superyachts. Kane previously chaired Superyacht Base Brisbane for 2 years from 2005 to 2007.

Steve Fisher, Director of International Business at Rivergate Marina and Shipyard.

Steve will be taking an Australian Commercial Marine Group position on the board. Steve has pioneered strategies in the marine industry in development, design and management of large yachts. Steve has over 30 years' experience in this field. His international position within Rivergate sees Steve co-ordinate and manage superyacht refits, which rival refits carried out anywhere in the world. In recognition of his industry experience, Steve was awarded the 2014 Superyacht Industry Champion of the Year award.

Richard Chapman, President of AIMEX said "the addition of these two very experienced industry members to our board reinforces our commitment to the marine industry. The industry needs strong voices and quality information on which to base business decisions. Experienced industry leaders such as Kane and Steve along with our other established directors provides AIMEX with outstanding guidance to achieve the best possible outcomes for the marine export, superyacht and commercial marine industries".

AIMEX will look to add an additional two marine export positions on the board in the near future.
