After a quiet night when the Derwent River breeze closed down, it’s been a busy day today; those who’ve wrestled with the light air trough that has plagued the waters between Tasman Light and Cape Raoul for the last 24 hours broke through to romp up the Derwent River to the finish line in a strong sou’easter.

We now have almost 60 yachts berthed in Hobart, with at least another 40 having reported as having passed Tasman Light and being likely to finish overnight tonight.

Matt Allen and the Ichi Ban team have yet to be announced as the winners of the Tattersalls Cup, but that really is a formality at this point, and we can expect to see the presentation of the trophy tomorrow morning.

Phil Turner’s Alive has secured IRC Division 0, Ichi Ban has won Div 1 and Chinese Whisper won Div 2. Other divisional winners will become clearer tomorrow morning with the bulk of the fleet likely to be in port.
