The extreme summer conditions continue in Australia but we look to overseas from Europe from the Dusseldorf show for the latest product innovations.

Our own Mark Jardine, Managing Editor of Sail-World.com and YachtsandYachting.com, gives an overview of the Pulse58, the first 100% electric RIB from RS Electric Boats, the sister company of RS Sailing.

Also from Europe Beneteau have announced two new power boats to be produced in 2021. Imagine not just one, but two exceptional seaworthy boats, featuring exquisite comfort and luxury, and an incredible amount of space, ideal for the perfect ocean cruise. This is exactly what Beneteau promises with the launch of code name "Project E", announcing the production of two boats in 2021. These two yachts, one of which is over 20 metres (over 65') long, are the result of Beneteau's collaboration with Massimo Gino (Nauta Design) and Amedeo Migali (MICAD) and capitalize on the highly successful Swift Trawler range of practical, spacious boats, with a considerable cruising range, and put Groupe Bénéteau's experience in producing luxury boats to good use.

And to meet the higher demand for more 'grunt' Yanmar Marine International is introducing its new 6LF and 6LT series of marine diesel engines at boot Düsseldorf. The launch of the advanced six-model powerboat line-up extends Yanmar's portfolio of trusted common rail marine diesel engines to encompass an output range from 40mhp to 640mhp, the most comprehensive offering available from any marine engine manufacturer. Enabling Yanmar to supply compact, high performance solutions for new markets and a wider customer base, the 485mhp to 640mhp 6LF and 6LT engines are ideal for leisure boats as well as light duty commercial applications.

Yanmar are also the Official Marine Partner of the 36th America's Cup presented by Prada and have revealed the first images of the company's X47 Express Cruiser, the competition's Official VIP Cruiser, at a media day during boot Düsseldorf. Yotaro Tsuchiya, head of the Yanmar Design Strategy Office, joined with Mirko Groeschner, Commercial Director at Challenger of Record 36 srl - the organisation responsible for organising the America's Cup World Series events in Sardegna and Auckland and the Prada Cup Challenger Selection Series - to reveal this first glimpse of the new X47 Express Cruiser which will support the upcoming America's Cup events.

Not forgetting the sailing market, Nautor's Swan has revealed the new Swan 58, a blue-water performance cruising yacht at Düsseldorf. In line with their other models, she is a Germán Frers design and has been added to the range due to compliment the Swan line 48 and 65 models. As part of the design process, Frers and Swan asked for input from their dealer network around the world, including Vicsail! Some of her key features include an exterior featuring soft and rounded shapes, a new cockpit design, a redefined coach-roof style and large swimming platform at the stern.

Staying with sailing, B&G®, the world's leading sailing navigation and instrument specialist, announced recently the launch of the new Zeus3S Glass Helm multifunction display system, offering unbeatable speed and performance for large yachts. Available in 24-, 19- and 16-inch models, Zeus3S Glass Helm can be purchased as a system pack or in display-only packs; system packs include a display, GPS, keypad and accessories.

Sister company Simrad Yachting announced today the launch of the new Simrad® NSO evo3S Glass Bridge display, providing an unprecedented user experience for large sportfishing and power boats. Every Simrad NSO evo3S Glass Bridge display features the new iMX 8 integrated six-core processor, delivering category-leading response times for incredibly smooth screen transitions. Offering up to twice the CPU performance, resulting in instant access to relevant information - no matter the conditions.

Whether you are sailing or powerboating we all need marinas and newly completed works at the Anchorage Marina in Corlette, Port Stephens, have transformed the entire facility, creating a luxury marina experience of international standard in Port Stephens NSW. Taking two years to complete and valued at over 6 million dollars, the renovations create new opportunities for larger boats and superyachts, placing Port Stephens on the international boating map and broadening its appeal to a wider boating community from interstate and overseas.
