Nova Luxe Yachts has entered 'First Edition' an Aquila 44 re-powered by Nova Luxe. Amenities and the hull are from the well-respected brand Aquila. The electrical system is from the most established player in the electric marine market Torqeedo, the solar array roof was glassed in the USA and uses LG panels. This yacht is the best in a new breed of vessel. The hybrid configuration provides the same capabilities as original diesel models however unlike diesel models, the solar array covers all of the house needs and sends extra power to the high voltage batteries for propulsion. The yacht provides full autonomy something a solely diesel-powered yacht can never do.

Interested buyers are encouraged to see the final product at the Yacht show and sea trials will be available after the show for serious buyers. The benefits of silent, diesel free motion is only truly understood after you experience it.

Available at the show is 'First Edition' because the owner is taking a sabbatical in Europe and will not be able to enjoy the yacht for 6-12 months. Also available are re-fits by Nova Luxe. We specialize in sizing and re-powering catamarans in the 35'-60' range. We also have a growing list of suppliers willing to install the electric system on new builds. The latest supplier we've partnered with is the maker of the HelioTrope line of power catamarans. (They also build yachts for Silent Wave). This builder offers a fast displacement 48' catamaran capable of top speeds in excess of 16 knots as electric. The hull is a perfect match for the capabilities of electric.

Thanks for your support at the show and while looking at power catamarans be sure to consider the option of an electric re-fit by Nova Luxe!

Hope to see you at the show!
