CL Yachts will officially announce an envelope-pushing project that has been in the works for several years: CLX96.

A new breed of boat, the premium performance SAV (Sea Activity Vessel) reinvents the motor yacht. An official announcement of the SAV will take place at this month's Palm Beach International Boat Show between March 26 and March 29, 2020. A debut is slated for later this year.

CL Yachts deconstructs the traditional motor yacht, reinventing it in a truly holistic way. CLX96 forgoes the traditional realms of opulence and champions new thinking through the eyes of multidisciplinary, international designer Jozeph Forakis.

"CLX96's distinctive profile, which is instantly iconic, is born from observations of living habits at sea and reconsidering the preconceptions of space, comfort, and conviviality. I wanted the feeling of being on the ocean to follow you everywhere, inside and outside. I was born in a New York City loft, and I wanted to capture that sense of the limitless possibility of living in open spaces. I think it is analogous to the inspiration we feel from the expansive horizon of the sea and the endless quest of human potential. Of course, comfort is a priority on a luxury yacht, but I also want those onboard to always be aware that they are on a "vessel" built to transport them through space and time, rather than being in a fixed place, like a villa on land. The sense of fluid motion into the future is ever-present, with seamlessly flowing, curved surfaces, and a mix of traditional and premium, innovative materials." says Jozeph Forakis.

"We wanted to offer those aboard the SAV a truly authentic experience, one that nourishes body and soul and celebrates wellbeing- the true luxury of modern life," says Martin Lo, director of CL Yachts. "To successfully execute our end goal meant starting with a blank page: one that wasn't cluttered with the components that usually go hand-in-hand with traditional motor yachts. This is one of the reasons we partnered with a designer from outside the yachting industry for this project. CLX96 was born a rebel."

Offering more exterior area than most motor yachts in CLX96's class, the design layout blurs the boundaries between exterior and interior, creating a harmonious fluidity of volume and movement. The result offers those onboard a deep connection to the great outdoors from every point on the SAV.

"Piazza del Sole" - a spacious exterior area on the foredeck features sun pads that transform from coffee tables to sunbeds and beyond. Forward of the Pilothouse on the Skydeck is the "Terrazza Portoghese" - a space that combines with adjacent areas to form a communal zone that stimulates socializing and connection. The Pilothouse features a reverse angle windshield, inspired by offshore vessels, with large up-down windows on either side and aft bulkhead. The result creates a vast upper entertainment area.

As those onboard CLX96 venture inside, the feeling of the outdoors moves with them. The Salon is a great loft-like living area with large windows offering virtually uninterrupted 360 degrees views. The Galley, a social area of the vessel, is a multidimensional space that celebrates innovative forms and materials. While the Master Stateroom is incredibly alluring - think large windows and flowing spaces- the full-beam VIP Staterooms are also a sight to behold. The rooms rival the space and amenities of most master staterooms.

Along with the official announcement of CLX96 during Palm Beach International Boat Show, enquires can also be made for other vessels in CL Yachts' portfolio, including the award-winning CLB88. Vessels on show include CLB72, a family-driven entertainer, and CLA76, a sleek, fast cruiser that excels in efficiency and performance.
