New Onda 321L custom limo tender of 95m superyacht O'Pari ready for take off

by Alice Paniccia 23 Jun 2020 00:06 PDT

Countdown to delivery begins as Onda's custom 321L limousine tender speeds through sea trials.

Onda Tenders is marking the start of the summer as its latest custom 321L limousine tender completes sea trials ready for delivery to its owner. Having finalized the sale during last year's Monaco Yacht Show, the limousine tender will soon be delivered to its prestigious 95-meter superyacht mothership, also being built in Greece.

Full speed ahead after sea trials

The 9.75-meter tender has exceeded predicted performance markers during sea trials over the last week, reaching a top speed of 42 knots, which is practically unheard of for a limousine tender with such small engines. The impressive pace of the 321L is in part thanks to a novel ultra-light lamination technique that has been employed by Onda, using a new combination of composite materials including carbon vinyl ester. Complemented by the 321L's innovative double-step, deep-V hull and a lightweight yet powerful propulsion system, the performance results speak for themselves. The tender has been extensively insulated to minimise the noise and vibration experienced by passengers in the cabin, without loss to speed potential.

Customized Chic inside and out

The chic limousine has been custom-built with numerous owner's requests incorporated, while maintaining the tried-and-tested platform used on Onda's previously delivered 321L limo Custom elements include a teak cabin interior to complement the leather seating for 10 passengers, a small refrigerator, an espresso machine and a unique colorway to work in harmony with the mothership. This 321L also features adaptations to the Onda fender system that give an overall sleeker look.

A skylight extends the full length of the cabin, while the navigation console forward of the interior space allows guests to enjoy complete privacy from the two crew while under way. Twin inboard motors provide ample space for guest-focused features to the aft of the tender, including an expansive swim platform with direct access to the water.

"It has been a rewarding week seeing our latest 321L surpass her predicted performance, and the beautiful custom details of the cabin and exterior are testament to the fantastic craftsmanship at Onda," commented George Riginos, Onda Tenders CEO. "It was great to be able to share this experience with the owner's representatives, who were also present at the sea trials. They have been very impressed with what we have achieved in such a short delivery time: a beautiful limousine tender with luxury finishes and hand-crafted furnishings that has performance in its DNA."
