CMC Marine expands its service center network by organising E-Learning Courses

by CMC Marine 9 Nov 2020 22:02 PST

CMC Marine's dealer network continues to grow and the company chooses an online training program to certify its new service centers, starting with its last three partnerships: the Spanish Astilleros de Mallorca, Tonsai Marine Services (Thailand) and Asia Superyacht Development (Singapore).

The digital training program includes various activities, ranging from simulation of on-board operations through to various video lessons developed thanks to the latest remote collaboration platforms.

Being always close to the end customer is one of the cornerstones of the corporate philosophy of CMC Marine, market leader in the segment of fin stabilizers, steering systems and bow thrusters for the boating industry. Hence, the training of an increasingly more extensive, widespread and constantly updated network of collaborators is a central part of the company's growth strategy. Given the current difficulties in organizing face-to-face training classes, the company established in 2005 by Alessandro Cappiello has decided to create an ad hoc course to certify its new service centers, starting with the last three which have recently joined the many others already operating worldwide.

The program developed by CMC Marine, which lasts three weeks and has been designed on the basis of the latest e-learning platforms, includes a series of on-board simulations and activities, covering all types of operations - from maintenance to various types of problems - and several video lessons and online meetings which address all major issues and illustrate the company's entire product range.

Three service centers will be attending the course, following partnerships recently signed with CMC Marine. The first is the Spanish Astilleros de Mallorca shipyard, an area landmark thanks to a comprehensive Refit & Repair service which has been operating since 1942, so much so that it has been awarded major accolades such as Boat International's Superyacht Award for the best refit and special recognition for ecological awareness presented by CAEB (Confederation of Balearic Companies) for its system of environmental management put in place in all corporate areas.

Asia Superyacht Development (ASD), on the other hand, based in Singapore, and led by the Jean-Jacques Lavigne (CEO) and Alexandre Plent (COO) duo, has been actively involved in promoting Asia as a superyacht hub and destination while providing the highest level of maintenance, management services and supplies of parts for many of the biggest yacht equipment brands.

Finally, Tonsai Marine Services is based in Thailand and offers a variety of sales and assistance services, in collaboration with many boatyards and insurance companies in the Andaman Coast and The Gulf of Thailand, with an extended partner network active throughout Asia and the Middle East. From small crafts to superyachts and commercial marine, Tonsai Marine Services supports and manages over 70 major brands from yacht supplies to offshore saftey equipment.

With a dedicated team of expertly trained and dedicated staff, Tonsai Marine Services is also a RINA Corporate Partner as well as the preferred Marine Engineering Company for a number of Yacht Manufactures.

The same training program will also be offered to the service centers that join the CMC Marine network in the coming months; each time variations will be made in accordance with the geographical area concerned and the most suitable product ranges. The new partners will also provide - together with assistance services - sales support for CMC Marine products and the new Waveless range, aimed at boats with LOA from 45 feet up and which boasts the same technology that has made CMC Marine stabilizers a leading name on the market.
