As part of US Sailing's ongoing implementation of the Strategic Plan for 2021-2024, the organization announces the hiring of a new Chief Development Officer and Chief Financial Officer to the staff. Jill Nosach (North Kingstown, R.I.) will serve as Chief Development Officer and Heather Monoson (Somerset, Mass.) was hired to serve as Chief Financial Officer.

Nosach takes the helm for the US Sailing Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization that supports US Sailing by raising the resources that bring innovative sailing programs to communities of need, develop young sailors, and advance America's Olympic Athletes as they strive for excellence.

Nosach has a distinguished career as a strategic leader and developer of philanthropic resources for local, national, and international organizations. Most recently, Nosach served as the Vice President of Philanthropy for Plan International USA. Prior to this successful experience, Nosach served as the Associate Dean for Development for the College of Business at the University of Rhode Island. She has also been a Vice President at both the YMCA and the Coast Guard Foundation and a Director at Save The Bay and Bryant University.

A life-long sailor and incoming Rear Commodore of the Jamestown Yacht Club, Nosach will work closely with William J. Ruh (Del Mar, Calif.), Chair of the US Sailing Foundation, to provide the key resources that support US Sailing's programs inspiring Americans to embrace sailing through Olympic excellence, increased youth participation, and access to the sport.

"Sailing has the power to change your life," said Nosach. "Life skills like confidence, self-reliance, and adaptability to rapidly changing conditions help people develop and grow while sailing also teaches essential STEM skills and teamwork. I am delighted to work with US Sailing's members and donors to provide this transformational opportunity to more children and to inspire Americans with Olympic success."

Monoson brings over 20 Years of finance leadership experience to US Sailing. She has broad experience in corporate and operational finance, and a proven track record of strong financial performance execution. Monoson has held senior positions at General Electric, and more recently with Rexel, Inc. where she was the Division Finance Director for a $200MM district.

Monoson is responsible for developing the organization's overall financial plans and policies. She will play a leading role in managing and enhancing the organization's reporting capacity, cash management, profitability, as well as relationships with banking institutions.

She will support the Senior Executive Team to meet financial goals and drive accountability through well-defined metrics and oversee risk management, execute investment opportunities, and manage Human Resources.

"I am really excited to be part of an organization where I can help support all aspects of the business and influence the financial health and growth of US Sailing."
