The latest European shipyard to set up an Australian based sales office - Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) - has entered a strategic partnership with the southern hemisphere's most comprehensive and awarded marine facility, Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) for preferred service and repair of all vessels sold in Australia.

Cantiere delle Marche, which hails from Ancona, on Italy's Adriatic Coast and leads the world in True Explorer Superyachts from 30 to 47 metres in length, With a surge in Aussie interest prompting the Australian base set-up and partnership with GCCM.

CdM marks the third international shipbuilder to choose GCCM as its preferred Australian shipyard.

The agreement will see CdM owners having priority access to GCCM's one-stop-shop capabilities spanning the 175,000 square metre facility including 20 refit sheds for yachts up to 50 metres, a 75-metre superyacht work basin along with over 90 on-site businesses employing in excess of 800 of Australia's finest marine contractors.

Renowned marine professional, Paul Miletta, who heads up the Australian division of Cantiere delle Marche together with Domenico Giuffrè says the selection of GCCM as the preferred shipyard for CdM vessels was an easy decision.

"This is a value-add 'peace of mind' and convenience move to ensure any CdM buyers can be guaranteed service and maintenance schedules will be seamlessly delivered at GCCM thanks to our strategic agreement," Mr Miletta said.

"As world leaders in Explorer Vessels, CdM yachts are proving to be the perfect choice for the South Pacific. Ideal for adventuring Australia's intrepid coastline with the ability to reach all destinations safely and in comfort.," he said.

With proud Australian owners throughout the world, the most recent to arrive in Australia is the Darwin Class 102 Ex-Babbo, appropriately re-named by its enthusiastic Aussie owner as "My True Blue". Also expected soon in 2021 is another Darwin Class which will call Sydney home. Both owners planning trips to the Kimberly region.

"By aligning ourselves with GCCM, we are ensuring that existing and new CdM owners have access to the best of the best service and maintenance to keep their vessels on the water in pristine condition."

GCCM CEO Trenton Gay says GCCM was proud to be selected by yet another prominent international yachting brand for quality and convenient service and maintenance capabilities.

"We are extremely proud to be attracting global recognition as a world-class maintenance and re-fit destination and this latest CdM partnership adds to the portfolio of international shipbuilding brands that we work exclusively with," Mr Gay said.

"We are looking forward to welcoming CdM captains and owners to GCCM and ensuring their service and maintenance schedules are on-time, on-budget and delivered with second-to-none quality," he said.
