Now that we have returned our wooden boats to port, we've had a chance to breathe and gather our thoughts. What a wonderful day and what a crowd!

With over 120 wooden sailing, rowing, steaming and cruising boats, we could not have asked for a better turn out. The weather even played the game too!

A simple idea, a sail, designed to bring joy to the general public and to celebrate our wooden boat community with friends.

The Australian Wooden Boat Festival Inc. would like to sincerely thank the following people, groups and sponsors that made this event happen;

Our wooden boat owners and Tall Ship operators (Windeward Bound, Lady Nelson, Yukon, Rhona H); without you, we wouldn't have any event. Thank you.

Our incredible AWBF staff and volunteers for working so tirelessly in organising the event. Our Board and AWBF Inc. Members too.

The MYCT's M.L. Egeria, crew and skipper, Captain Bernie Smith, for hosting our guests, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Warner.

Our sponsors, including the Derwent Sailing Squadron Inc and Prince of Wales Bay Marina for generously facilitating berths before and after the event. Also sponsors TasPorts, Events Tasmania, Dobson Mitchell Allport Lawyers, MyState Bank and City of Hobart.

The Royal Hobart Regatta and HMAS Hobart for working with us to organise the course, sail time and Flagship. Tasmania Police and the crew on the Vigilant.

All of our wonderful photographers (wow do we have some fantastic footage to share). Hobart Brewing Co. for the delicious beverages. Seagrass Long Point for hosting our VIP event and the entertainment; Clover Hitch and The Boaters. Also our guest speakers - Miles Hampton, Chairman of MyState Bank, and Premier Peter Gutwein and our new Festival Patron John Bertrand AO.

And finally, a huge thank you to all Tasmanians for getting onboard and supporting us through the last year or so.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
