Singapore's Marina at Keppel Bay awarded 5 Gold Anchor rating

by Marina Industries Association 25 Feb 2021 03:31 PST

The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has awarded Singapore's multi award-winning Marina at Keppel Bay, which is operated and managed by Keppel Land, with the 5 Gold Anchor rating for the fourth consecutive time following its recent audit.

The international accreditation involves a rigorous independent assessment which audits over 100 criteria across all areas of the business including service, facilities and infrastructure and includes a survey of customers.

MIA CEO Suzanne Davies said, "Marina at Keppel Bay continues to set the benchmark in Asia by embracing the Gold Anchor accreditation which is a clear signal that it aims to lead the marina market in the Asian region."

Khoo Peck Khoon, General Manager, Marina at Keppel Bay, said, "We are honoured that Marina at Keppel Bay has been accredited with the 5 Gold Anchor rating for the fourth consecutive time. We are encouraged by the recognition from MIA, which will spur us further as we continue to deliver the best in premier yachting and luxury lifestyles."

Chairman of the Singapore Boating Industry Association, YP Loke, made the 5 Gold Anchor presentation to Selvaraj Arivananthan, Marina Manager, and Zailani Mahlan, Marina Supervisor, at Marina at Keppel Bay.

Marina at Keppel Bay was first awarded the 5 Gold Anchor rating in 2010 The Marina has been committed to the program since and has achieved consecutive reaccreditation of the 5 Gold Anchor rating in October 2014, July 2017 and, most recently, in February 2021. The Gold Anchor program provides boat and marina users with a simple way to determine which marinas best fit their needs through a system similar to star ratings for hotels. It is also used as a business improvement tool by marinas that seek to increase their Gold Anchor rating by providing additional services and facilities.

At the board meeting where the final approval was given, President of the MIA, Andrew Chapman commented, "It is great to see Marina at Keppel Bay once again recognized for this outstanding facility. It is more than a quality marina; it offers its customers and visitors a waterfront lifestyle experience".
