A new race event for professionals, amateurs, Olympic hopefuls and young up and coming talent

B&G®, the world's leading sailing navigation and instrument specialist have announced their support for the new UK Double Handed Offshore Series. The event series, created by figarist and round the world sailor Henry Bomby, has a diverse range of competitors; from professional sailors, amateurs and Olympic hopefuls to young up and coming talent at the beginning of their racing career, it is set to be an event like no other. The format for the event will see sailors competing in a number of the best-ranked Double Handed races throughout the year, combined into one season long series.

"B&G are delighted be involved with and supporting, the Double Handed Offshore Series" said Simon Conder, Head of global brand at B&G. "This is a rapidly growing class and our wide range of sailing products are ideally suited to support this type of sailing". B&G will be hosting an online seminar for competitors, to ensure race entrants get the most out of their electronics; the session will be focusing on instrument calibration.

B&G are also providing a fantastic prize for the event winner, the new generation of intelligent sailing display Nemesis™. This innovative new display offers unparalleled visibility, with complete customisation or easy to use multi-function templates and automatic dashboards based on your angle of sail. Nemesis Displays allow sailors to define the data they see, no matter what conditions, providing an intuitive link between their trusted instrument network and the real world.

Eight teams have already entered the series, including event founder and B&G ambassador Henry Bomby, "Its great to be working with B&G for the UK Double Handed Offshore Series. Not only is it the best gear, but they are so active with the Double Handed Community, offering support and running educational webinars that allows all the teams to get the best out of their instruments, it makes a real difference." Henry will be racing on a SunFast 3300 kitted out with the latest B&G electronics.

The race series will be kicking off on the 1st of May with the RORC Cervantes, with six events in total to make up the stand-alone series, including the ISC Round the Island Race and the 2021 Rolex Fastnet Race.
