ePropulsion, a global leader and market challenger in marine electric propulsion systems and services, announced today it delivered innovation on the water at SailGP's recent Bermuda Sail Grand Prix presented by Hamilton Princess and was met with very positive feedback for its products.

Eleven boats have been transitioned to ePropulsion electric outboard motors to provide more sustainable and environmentally friendly electric outboard solutions for SailGP, supporting the global sail racing league that champions a world powered by nature. ePropulsion's Spirit range and batteries were a massive hit with the team on the ground.

In addition, ePropulsion's Navy engines were used for SailGP Inspire, the league's community engagement program, which aims to build a more inclusive sport from the ground up and create the next generation of climate advocates.

SailGP and ePropulsion are continuing to work together to help revolutionize the marine industry focusing on an acceleration towards clean energy.

"The Bermuda Sail Grand Prix was a fantastic start to our ongoing partnership with SailGP and we were thrilled to be able to provide easy-to-use and innovative systems to the team who were happy with the supplied hardware," said Danny Tao, CEO of ePropulsion. "We are excited to continue to build our partnership and work together to achieve great things."

"It was fantastic in Bermuda to start the transition to clean energy in some of our support boats, including those used for Inspire," said Tom Herbert-Evans, SailGP Youth Program Manager. "The ePropulsion outboard motors were very easy to use, reactive and with excellent handling. The charging made life easier and the fact that there is no sound or odors has a positive effect on the marine environment. It's a great step towards our goal of being fully powered by nature both on and off the water."

ePropulsion is an official partner to SailGP and, with a shared sustainability and environmental purpose and vision, has joined SailGP's Race for the Future to deliver actions and innovations that advance the global adoption of clean energy. SailGP has set the ambitious target of ensuring its events are 100% powered by clean energy - both on and off the water - by 2025.
