Inmarsat announces first webinar in Digital Yacht Series

Inmarsat is pleased to announce the launch of its Digital Yacht Series which introduces six key topics tailored to help yachting professionals capitalise on the latest developments in onboard connectivity and harness the power of the new digital era.

The first webinar, entitled Performance Sailing and The Ocean Race, will take place on Thursday, 10th June at 3.30pm BST. The event will be hosted by record-breaking sailor and Inmarsat Yachting Ambassador, Nick Moloney, and looks at the impact of digitalisation on performance sailing, with a special focus on The Ocean Race.

In an exclusive interview, Simon Fisher, professional offshore sailing team member and navigator for 11th Hour in the upcoming Ocean Race, provides the inside view on how reliable, continuous satellite connectivity is transforming the decision-making, racing tactics and design of the latest yachts. He also looks at how new developments in communications technology could enhance the future racing experience.
