Six months into its acquisition by global technology leader Teledyne, Raymarine has reinforced its position as one of the world's leading marine-electronics brands. Raymarine sales are at record levels with sustained increases since the second quarter of 2020.

"To say business is strong would be an understatement," says Jamie Dery, Vice President of the Americas for Raymarine. "As we ride this wave of unprecedented demand, we are laser-focused on continuing our upward trajectory by continuing to develop and invest in our team of experienced marine electronics professionals."

Dery says Teledyne has extended tremendous support, trust, and flexibility to the Raymarine Leadership Team. "We've largely promoted from within, taking experienced people who have been passionately involved with our brand for many years and given them a more-well-defined sphere in which to operate, with customer-focused targets and far fewer distractions," he says. "Teledyne has encouraged this reorganization around our customers. We're strengthening our commitments to boat builders, dealers, retailers, and wholesale distributors with the focused goal of earning every opportunity to be their preferred marine electronics partner."

"We're introducing new technologies for the benefit of all boaters in exciting new products like YachtSenseTM and CycloneTM solid-state open-array radar, which was launched at FLIBS at the end of last year and is already being delivered to customers," Dery says. "Cyclone's innovative design and class-leading performance have disrupted the marine-radar market, and Raymarine customers can expect to see more examples of this in the future. But we're not relying on meaningful innovation and new technology alone. As boat owners increasingly ask for our products on their significant merits, we're aggressively leaning into new sales programs that help make doing business with Raymarine more accretive to our customers' businesses."

Teledyne's corporate confidence and investment in Raymarine is further reflected in the recent selection of two new senior managers at Raymarine's head office in Fareham, UK. The company has appointed Peter Ingram as its VP of Marketing and Michelle Hildyard as its VP of Product Management and Business Development.

Formerly Interim General Manager and Vice President of Finance at Raymarine, Ingram will leverage 14 years of experience in the maritime industry to advance the brand's global strategic marketing activity. Hildyard, meanwhile, will employ considerable experience from her previous role as Vice President of Customer Service and 17 years in the maritime industry to direct and maintain the constant flow of product innovation for which the company is renowned.

With a solid and stable corporate ownership structure in place, a robust strategy for innovation and growth, and an experienced senior management team to oversee execution, Raymarine will continue to focus on scaling up processes while retaining and attracting the very best talent.

"This is a very exciting time for our company and our customers," says Gregoire Outters, Raymarine Vice-President and General Manager. "As well as congratulating Jamie, Peter, and Michelle for their new senior management roles, we're looking forward to welcoming additional, new team members who will bring fresh insights to our operations for the ultimate benefit of our customers. We're actively recruiting in engineering, product management, sales, and marketing, in line with our ambitious innovation and growth plans."

Dery agrees that Raymarine customers will reap the rewards. "Different types of boaters have their own specific needs, and Raymarine is in a better position than ever to deliver solutions to all of them via progressive engineering, superior technology, ease of use, and rugged reliability," he says. "Our new Cyclone radar is just the most recent example; it proves to high-powered, high-performance center console owners that they don't need to compromise radar performance or safety when they push the throttles and use their boat the way it was intended. Raymarine is aggressively pursuing similar opportunities to innovate new and needed solutions. At the same time, we're more committed than ever to giving our customers new and compelling reasons to do business with us."

The Raymarine team is excited and fully committed to delivering the best technology to all boaters in 2022.
