A prestigious panel of judges from Boating Writers International (BWI) have honored Raymarine with a 2022 Innovation Award from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) for its Cyclone™ open-array radar series. The announcement was made this morning at the 2022 Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show (MIBS).

The NMMA Innovation Award marks the fourth major accolade for Cyclone since its introduction last October, following Dame Design Award honorable mention in the Marine Electronics and Marine-related Software category at last year's METSTRADE exhibition, a Good Design® Award bestowed by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd, and recognition as Editor's Choice for best overall new product in the 2022 Bonnier Best Elex Awards.

Raymarine's Cyclone range encompasses the company's newest open-array radars. Featuring solid-state CHIRP pulse compression, Cyclone radars are conceived and crafted to give mariners the confidence to tackle the harshest conditions, gain distinct advantages in the hunt for fish, and safely navigate busy waterways.

"We are honored to have been recognized by NMMA and BWI's panel of judges with this Innovation Award," says Grégoire Outters, Vice-President and General Manager of Raymarine. "The Cyclone design was optimized through wind-tunnel testing and designed to break conventions in the open-array radar product category. Our new radar array and has been carefully executed by our team to demonstrate the clear advantages of our next-generation technologies. We challenged ourselves to create a radar that combines beauty with high performance, and the results are groundbreaking design, exceptional efficiency, and unmatched radar imagery."

Cyclone radars integrate seamlessly with Raymarine Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro, and Axiom XL chartplotter multifunction displays and are available in 3-, 4- and 6ft arrays and in two high-power output options for each size. Cyclone open-array radars retail between $6,999.99 and $9,749.99 and are backed by Raymarine's industry-leading three-year warranty.
