I-Carbon: innovative quick mount system and cleats

by I-Carbon 18 Mar 2022 08:55 PDT

I-Carbon's flush mounted quick coupler system offers a wide choice of configurations and workloads for multiple uses on sailboats, motorboats, and superyachts.

From the smallest model, suitable for attaching fenders, ropes and restraints, to the largest models, with high load capacity, that can be used to stop curtains, halyards, to deflect sheets or as a simple removable eyebolt.

The largest model in the series is dedicated to large yachts and can be equipped with steel or carbon stanchions, making the system completely removable and practical to install for all applications on board superyachts: helipads, retractable decks, areas to be temporarily secured.

The salient feature of the system is the use of a single base on which different types of hooks can be inserted depending on the need for use and load.

The particular release system with lateral button allows to have the upper part of the coupling completely free to be used in different applications.

The bases are available in 4 sizes and being completely waterproof, they do not require drainage.

The standard product is completely made of stainless steel AISI316L and, on request, it is also possible to use titanium grade5. The standard finishing foresees a mirror polishing treatment. Available on request with a satin finish, through a microbead blasting treatment. The textile fitting is made of Dyneema®rk78.

Only imagination sets a limit to the possible uses of this system, practical and quick to use, which leaves the deck free and clean when not in use.

I-CARBON's retractable cleats are unique on the market in terms of design and technological innovation, but also for the possibility of customization at a convenient quality/price ratio.

The I-CARBON retractable cleats are composed of a base flange, which allows anchoring on deck, two titanium pins, which allow lifting and use, and a top, which represents the most aesthetically relevant part, characterized by a unique, refined and refined design.

Thanks to a recess in the lower part of the top of the bollard, which hides the base flange when the head is lowered, it is possible to customize the top, thus developing an original and exclusive design, without prejudice to all the other standard components.

In this way, having only the foresight to respect the constraints of the distance between centres of the pins and the dimensions of the recess, it is possible to have an exclusive bollard, with a unique design as if it were a fully custom product but at a considerably reduced price, almost like a standard series bollard.

The shipyard or the design studio, can develop its own design, according to the chosen size and send the 3D file that will then be analysed and engineered by I-Carbon to achieve the processing programs.

It goes without saying that with large purchase numbers the costs will be greatly reduced.
