Dufour 48 Catamaran debuts at Sanctuary Cove International Boatshow - May 19-21

by Performance Cruising Yachts 4 May 2022 00:36 PDT 19-21 May 2022

Performance Cruising Yachts is excited to present the Dufour 48 Catamaran for the first time to the Australian market. Since arriving late last year, the interest in the model has been overwhelming, with a large number of enquiries on the Dufour 48 and also the brand new Cervetti 44, which will be available in both sail and powered versions next year.

The Dufour 48 Catamaran is beautifully constructed, built in Italy by Italian craftsmen and designed by the revered and world-famous Italian naval architect Umberto Felci. The contemporary design ensures a combination of style and performance to make for the perfect cruising catamaran. The cabinetry is of high quality and the layout stylish and ergonomic. She is fast too, evident in a recent delivery from Sydney to the Gold Coast in 60hrs under sail in preparation for the show.

There are abundant outdoor living spaces for entertaining and laying in the sun. The sliding galley windows cleverly connect the galley to the lower deck seating area and open up the entire lower deck. The salon is light, bright and airy with plenty of food preparation areas and benchtop space and lots storage cupboards and drawers.

Access to the cabins is via stairs off the salon where you will find entry to four well appointed double cabins all with ensuite. This model also offers a separate day head, laundry and skippers cabin. Storage areas are plentiful in all cabins, not to mention a walk-in storage area in the starboard bow that can be used for a multitude of purposes.

What makes the Dufour 48 Catamaran a stand out model is the huge flybridge with stair access from both starboard and port sides that leads to further entertaining areas, sunbathing space and the helm station. The panoramic views from up high give a commanding position for the helm to easily manage the catamaran. Such clear visibility is of huge benefit when navigating shallow passageways, bar crossings and isolated atolls. All control lines for the sails are led back to one central area and trimmed by powered winches.

We look forward to welcoming you aboard at the show and give you a tour of this exceptional model and answer any questions you have on the brand, specification and delivery options.

In the meantime, feel free to contact us now for more information on this beautiful Dufour 48 Catamaran or the exciting new Cervetti 44 SC.
